Manchester United's inconsistent start to the season continued at Elland Road as Dominic Calvert-Lewin's second-half strike earned Leeds a 1-1 draw in a feisty Yorkshire-Roses rivalry clash.
Bryan Mbeumo had given the visitors a 35th-minute lead, finishing off Youri Tielemans' assist, but Calvert-Lewin levelled six minutes after the interval with a clinical header, set up by Tarik Muharemovic.
Honours even
Leeds arguably shaded a tight contest: 61% possession, an xG of 1.44 to United's 0.91, and 12 shots to their visitors' 13. Both sides finished with two yellow cards apiece as tempers flared in the closing stages.
The point leaves Leeds seventh on 10 points, while Manchester United — now winless in five in all competitions — remain 12th on seven points, and Michael Carrick's position continues to come under scrutiny.
