Privacy Notice
Last updated: 28 June 2026 · Applies to https://www.onelightscore.com
This Privacy Notice explains how OneLightScore ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use https://www.onelightscore.com (the "Service"), and the choices you have. We show advertising through Google AdSense and other partners; this notice describes how that works and how you can control it.
1. Who we are
OneLightScore operates OneLightScore, a multi-sport live-scores and where-to-watch website. For privacy questions you can reach us at [email protected]. For the purposes of the EU/UK GDPR, we act as the data controller for personal data processed through the Service.
2. Information we collect
We collect limited information, in three ways:
- Information you provide — for example if you contact us by email, or (where offered) create an account or save preferences such as favourite leagues.
- Information collected automatically — device and browser type, IP address, approximate (city/region-level) location derived from your IP, pages viewed, referring URLs, and interactions with the Service. This is collected via cookies and similar technologies (see below).
- Advertising & analytics data— our advertising and analytics partners (including Google) may collect identifiers and usage data through cookies and similar technologies to measure and serve ads, as described in “Advertising & Google AdSense”.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to run the Service, remember your preferences (such as your cookie choices and whether ad spaces are shown), measure traffic, and deliver and measure advertising. Cookies fall into the following categories:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function and to remember your privacy choices. These are always on.
- Analytics — help us understand usage so we can improve the Service.
- Advertising — used by Google and other vendors to serve and measure ads, including personalised advertising.
You can review and change your choices at any time using the Manage cookies control in the site footer, or turn off the ad section entirely with the ad toggle. In the EU/UK we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies via our consent banner.
4. How we use information
- To provide, operate and secure the Service;
- To remember your settings and preferences;
- To default your “where to watch” region using approximate location;
- To measure and improve performance and content;
- To display advertising and measure its performance (with your consent where required);
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
5. Advertising & Google AdSense
We use Google AdSense and may use other third-party advertising vendors to display ads on the Service. The following disclosures apply:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies (including the Google advertising cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Service and/or other sites on the internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices and youronlinechoices.eu.
- Where personalised advertising is not used (for example if you decline consent), ads may still be served on a non-personalised basis.
- For more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
In the EU, UK and Switzerland we collect consent for advertising and analytics cookies before they are set, consistent with Google’s EU User Consent Policy. A list of the third-party services we use is on our Third-Party Services page.
6. Legal bases (GDPR)
Where the EU/UK GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (for advertising and analytics cookies); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure and improve the Service and serve non-personalised ads); and legal obligation where we must process data to comply with the law. You may withdraw consent at any time via Manage cookies.
7. Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access, correct or delete your personal data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- withdraw consent and manage cookie preferences;
- data portability; and
- lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): the use of cookies for cross-context behavioural advertising may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. You can opt out by turning off advertising cookies in Manage cookies (which we treat as a Global Privacy Control signal where applicable) and via the industry opt-out links above. We do not sell personal information for money.
To exercise any right, email [email protected].
8. Sharing your information
We share information only with:
- service providers and partners who help us run the Service (hosting, analytics, advertising), under appropriate agreements;
- advertising vendors such as Google, as described above;
- authorities or third parties where required by law or to protect our rights and users.
We do not sell your personal information for money.
9. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. Cookie lifetimes vary by cookie; you can clear them in your browser at any time.
10. International transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including by partners such as Google. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
11. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
13. Changes to this notice
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide a more prominent notice.
