Bournemouth recorded a clinical 2-0 victory over Sunderland at the Vitality Stadium, with goals in each half from Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson stretching the Cherries' unbeaten run in the league to two games.
Tavernier opened the scoring after just six minutes, converting Evanilson's assist, and the Brazilian striker turned scorer himself three minutes after the interval to put the game beyond the visitors. Sunderland's task was made near-impossible when Kevin Danso was shown a straight red card after 17 minutes with the score still 1-0.

The numbers were emphatic: Bournemouth posted 29 shots to Sunderland's three, an xG of 4.32 against 0.07, and 65% of possession. Sunderland failed to register a single shot on target all afternoon and rarely looked like rescuing anything from the game.
Bournemouth climb to 15th, while Sunderland stay 19th on five points, still searching for a first win since late September.
