Leverkusen hold off Freiburg 2-1 at the BayArena
Bayer Leverkusen kept their momentum going with a 2-1 win over SC Freiburg at the BayArena in Bundesliga Round 6.
Leverkusen did enough across the ninety minutes to stay ahead of a Freiburg side who kept the contest alive with a goal of their own but could not find an equaliser.
The home win keeps Leverkusen in the leading pack, while Freiburg’s away form again falls just short against top-end opposition.
