Arsenal edge Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the City Ground

Arsenal ground out a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground, with the decisive goal arriving after the break in a tight Premier League Round 7 contest.

The first half ended goalless, both sides cancelling each other out in a low-tempo opening 45 minutes. The breakthrough came in the second period, and Forest could not find a reply as Arsenal closed the game out professionally.

For Forest, it is a first home defeat of the round and a frustrating afternoon in front of goal, while Arsenal bank consecutive away points to stay in touch at the top of the table.
