Tottenham Close In on £160m Double Swoop for Man City Duo Savinho and Marmoush

Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on a blockbuster double signing from Manchester City, with Brazilian winger Savinho and Egyptian international forward Omar Marmoush set to arrive in north London for a combined fee in the region of £160 million.

De Zerbi Backed with Historic £400m Summer Outlay

The double acquisition represents an extraordinary financial push by the Tottenham hierarchy to reshape the first-team squad under head coach Roberto De Zerbi. Tottenham have committed an agreed valuation of £85 million for Savinho and £75 million for Marmoush, pushing the club's total summer transfer window investment near the £400 million threshold.

The pair join a marquee list of summer arrivals in N17 that already includes Italian international midfielder Sandro Tonali, Portuguese prospect Mateus Fernandes, and Dutch central defender Jan Paul van Hecke. Tottenham moved decisively in the market following their sobering 3-0 opening-day defeat against Brentford on Saturday.

Maresca Confirms Savinho Exit Request as City Reshape Attack

Speaking regarding the impending departures, Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca confirmed that Savinho had made his desire for a fresh challenge clear from the beginning of pre-season preparations.

Savinho asked to leave the club from day one. When a player has that mindset and an opportunity presents itself that matches the club's financial expectations, it is better for all parties to find a resolution.— Enzo Maresca, Manchester City Manager

While Marmoush did not submit a formal transfer request, the Egyptian versatile attacker found starting opportunities constrained and agreed terms swiftly once Tottenham presented their tactical project under De Zerbi. Both players are scheduled for medical assessments in London over the coming 48 hours.

Tactical Fit and Premier League Outlook

Savinho's explosive 1v1 dribbling ability on either flank provides De Zerbi with the natural width and isolation threat his possession-heavy positional system requires. Meanwhile, Marmoush provides elite pressing metrics and dynamic finishing across central and inside-forward channels, giving Spurs immediate offensive depth ahead of their Matchweek 2 fixture against Newcastle United.
