Richarlison left out of Tottenham 25-man Premier League squad before Forest trip

Roberto De Zerbi has omitted Richarlison from Tottenham’s 25-man Premier League squad after a late-window return to Everton failed, ruling him out of Saturday's game at Nottingham Forest.

Richarlison omitted ahead of Saturday’s trip to Forest

One squad fact matters before kick-off: Richarlison is not in Tottenham Hotspur’s 25-man Premier League squad for the first half of 2026/27. Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham is one of Saturday’s 15:00 BST fixtures.

The omission was reported across football outlets after the registration deadline and was confirmed in squad-list coverage. OneFootball stated that Roberto De Zerbi had left the Brazil forward out of Spurs’ 25. Fabrizio Romano separately reported De Zerbi confirming Richarlison did not accept an Everton proposal before the window closed, adding: “I don’t know if there is an offer from Turkey… but I know there was an offer before the end of the transfer market but he did not accept that offer.” De Zerbi said: “For me nothing changes.”

That combination — no Premier League registration and a failed late-window return to Everton — is the hard news, not a rumour thread. Richarlison remains a Tottenham player, but he cannot be selected for Premier League matches until a later registration window. He is therefore unavailable for Forest vs Tottenham and for the rest of this first-half slate.

De Zerbi has said the forward had repeatedly expressed a desire to leave. That is why the 25-man list matters: it is the official filter on who can appear this afternoon, not a predicted lineup.

What Saturday’s board looks like

Premier League fixtures on Saturday 5 September 2026 include Newcastle United vs Bournemouth at 12:30 BST, then a 15:00 BST block of Brentford vs Sunderland, Brighton vs Leeds, Fulham vs Crystal Palace, Manchester City vs Coventry City and Nottingham Forest vs Tottenham Hotspur, with Hull City vs Aston Villa at 17:30 BST.

In the U.S., Forest vs Tottenham is on Peacock, with other 15:00 games split between USA Network and Peacock and Hull vs Villa on NBC. Rights differ in other markets; check the official Premier League broadcast guide for yours rather than assuming a single global channel.

Spurs travel without their Brazil forward on the registered list. Forest host at the City Ground. The squad sheet, not social speculation, is what matters going into Forest vs Tottenham.
