Six official signatures, one message for Ligue 1
The most important official Ligue 1 news in the last 24 hours did not come from a scoreline. Paris Saint-Germain announced six new contracts, locking the manager and a core of the squad through the next cycle of domestic and European fixtures.
Fabrizio Romano posted the club’s list on Friday: Luis Enrique until June 2030; William Pacho, Lucas Beraldo, João Neves and Senne Mayulu until June 2031; Fabián Ruiz until June 2028.
What was signed
The manager’s deal is the headline. Luis Enrique is now contracted through June 2030, four more seasons of continuity after the club’s recent European run. João Neves, the Portugal midfielder, and Ecuador defender William Pacho both signed through June 2031, as did Brazilian centre-back Lucas Beraldo and young French forward Senne Mayulu. Spain midfielder Fabián Ruiz is tied until June 2028.
Romano marked each announcement official. The club presented the six together as a single retention package rather than staggered leaks.
Why it matters
When the coach, the midfield organiser and two first-choice centre-backs are contracted deep into the decade, PSG's weekend fixtures stay built around the same project. For supporters, the team on screen will remain the one they have been following.
The English transfer window is closed. This was not a signing from outside. It was PSG using the days after deadline to freeze the group already registered for Ligue 1. No new eligibility puzzle. No last-minute registration fight. Just confirmed years on existing contracts.
