Inter lock Pio Esposito to 2032 on a six-year deal

Inter have confirmed a new contract for Pio Esposito through June 2032, tying the 21-year-old striker to the club's centre-forward line for the long term.

Fabrizio Romano reported the deal as official on Sunday. The Italian striker, 21, has signed a six-year contract. Separate Italian coverage said Esposito completed the paperwork at Inter's offices with agent Mario Giuffredi, extending a relationship that had previously run to 2030.

La Repubblica put the new salary at about 2.5 million euros net a season, more than double the previous 1.2 million, with bonuses that can take the package toward 3 million. Gazzetta dello Sport noted the six-year length is possible after Italian law raised the maximum sports contract term from five years to eight in 2025. Those wage figures come from those newspapers, not from an Inter accounts filing published with the announcement.

What is confirmed

The deal is official and runs for six years, to June 2032. It does not settle his place in the side: whether Esposito starts the next Serie A matchday has not been confirmed.

Esposito came through Inter's own pathway and has already been used as a senior striker. The new contract is a long-term commitment, not a promise of minutes, and selection will still be decided team sheet by team sheet.
