Manchester United agree £70m deal for Carlos Baleba
Manchester United have successfully reached an agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion to sign 22-year-old Cameroon international midfielder Carlos Baleba for a deal worth £70 million.
The structure of the deal is reported to be an initial £65 million fee plus £5 million in performance-related add-ons, with Brighton also retaining a sell-on clause.
Baleba is expected to sign a five-year contract with an option for an additional year and is scheduled to undergo a medical at Carrington.
The signing is seen as a key part of manager Michael Carrick's midfield rebuild following earlier summer acquisitions.
