Paris Saint-Germain's quiet international break ended with two setbacks in the space of 24 hours: Senny Mayulu will miss several weeks with a thigh injury, and Ferran Torres has been sent home from Spain's national team camp with a left ankle problem.

The club's medical report, released after his return to Paris, confirmed a thigh injury that will keep him out for several weeks rather than days.
Ferran Torres waits on tests
The blow to the forward line is more uncertain. Ferran Torres picked up a left ankle injury at Spain's camp and left the squad rather than staying for the remainder of the window. PSG have had few availability worries during the break — a run of good fortune the club itself had noted — and the early signs are that Torres' issue will be assessed in Paris before any timeline is put on his return.
Torres had managed the discomfort through the early part of the window. He started Spain's 3-2 win over England and played 55 minutes before coming off, then stayed on the bench for the 4-1 victory over Croatia. When the pain in the left ankle refused to clear, the Spanish Football Federation released the 26-year-old to prioritise his recovery, with the national team's medical staff and PSG's working on the case jointly. Real Madrid's Carlos Espí, 21, was called up in his place for the remaining Nations League fixtures against the Czech Republic in Oviedo and Croatia in Split.
What it means for the restart
For a squad built on depth in attacking positions, losing Mayulu's flexibility and facing a doubt over Torres narrows the options just as Ligue 1 returns and the Champions League calendar thickens. The timing is particularly flat for Torres, who has made a flying start to life in Paris since his close-season move from Barcelona, scoring seven goals in his first six games for the club.
PSG return to Ligue 1 action against Le Mans at the Parc des Princes on 10 October before travelling to face Manchester City in the Champions League four days later, and Torres' availability for both will depend on the medical assessment waiting for him in Paris. The medical staff will map Mayulu's rehabilitation week by week, while Torres' ankle will dictate whether he can train with the group when club football resumes.
PSG expect to issue a further update once both players have completed their assessments in Paris. For now, the double bulletin is a reminder of what international windows can cost: two players returned from national duty carrying problems, and the club's physiotherapy department starts the October run with two new names on the list.
