Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), the owners of Paris Saint-Germain, have officially completed their acquisition of Belgian second-tier club KAS Eupen, formalizing full ownership of the club following months of operational control.

The deal, confirmed on Thursday, September 17, 2026, marks QSI's third major football investment alongside PSG and Portuguese club Braga. QSI had previously taken over KAS Eupen's sporting operations in December 2025, but this latest move establishes them as the sole owners.

Strategic Expansion in Belgian Football

KAS Eupen, which was relegated from Belgium's top flight in May 2024 after eight consecutive seasons in the Jupiler Pro League, has been under Qatari influence since 2012 through the Aspire Academy. The club has served as a development platform for young talents, with several players making the transition to PSG over the years.

QSI stated in their announcement that they have been working closely with Eupen to establish strong foundations for the club's long-term sporting and commercial development. The acquisition formalizes this relationship and provides a clearer pathway for talent development between the two clubs.

Since acquiring PSG in 2011, QSI has overseen unprecedented success for the French giants, including 12 out of 14 Ligue 1 titles and back-to-back UEFA Champions League triumphs. The investment group also holds a minority stake in Portuguese side Braga since 2022.

Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who serves as president of both PSG and QSI, has been instrumental in expanding the group's football interests. The latest acquisition of KAS Eupen demonstrates QSI's commitment to building a multi-club ownership model that can compete at the highest levels while developing talent through a coordinated network.
